Welcome to St Margaret Ward Catholic Academy
 
The Academy is in the Archdiocese of Birmingham, serves the Catholic community of northern Stoke-on-Trent and offers a holistic education in a Christian setting.

To mark the centenary of the end of World War One hand crafted poppies have been sold. A total of £228.37 has been raised for The Royal British Legion.

£45 was raised by Lydia Chance of Y7 from poppies she made, SMW parent Mrs Lawton raised £98.27 and £85.10 was raised from poppies made from Mrs Pritchard's mother's button tin which she generously donated.

BOOK BENCH COMPETITION

St Margaret Ward Art & Design Department are teaming up with Mrs Barnett in the library to launch a competition to design a book bench.

In summer 2019 a trail of amazing Book Benches produced by local schools and artists will appear around Stoke on Trent. St Margaret Ward Catholic Academy has a bench which will be part of the trail.

The Dance Department were very proud to have hosted the Restoke Performance Company’s Boys Dance project over October half term here at St Margaret Ward.

'Cascade of Memories'

Our art exhibition to mark the centenary of the end of World War One has been installed in Fenton Old Library. All pupils in years seven and eight have been given the opportunity to produce work for this piece, and it is displayed alongside the work of year thirteen artists.

Available in Reception for a donation of £1.50, these poppies were hand stitched by one of our wonderful parents, Mrs Lawton.
The gold thread marks the centenary of the end of World War One.
Every penny raised goes to The Royal British Legion.
